NETEC is proud to have had researcher Araceli González Crespán represent us at the 7th International Conference on US Drama and Theatre held at the Universite Jean Jaurés from the 10 to 13 June 2026. See full programme here 

Araceli González Crespán coordinated the roundtable “María Irene Fornés as Auteur: Playwright/Director” at the 7th International Conference on US Drama and Theater: "Of Mutability and Malleability, Re-Imagining the Contours of US Theater and Drama. The panel featured presentations by Lillian Manzor (University of Miami), Araceli González Crespán (University of Vigo), who presented the paper “Mutability and Malleability in The Danube,” and Kenneth Prestininzi (Connecticut College, National Theater Institute at the O’Neill Center, Fornés alumnus, Latin American Writers Workshop).

From La Viuda to Letters from Cuba: Family Correspondence in María Irene Fornés’ Theater by NETEC researcher Araceli González Crespán is now available in OPEN AC

Araceli González Crespán presented the paper "From La Viuda to Letters from Cuba. Ends and Beginnings in Maria Irene Fornes's Theater through Family Correspondence" at  the 6th International Conference on American Drama and Theater: Game Over!
